Kengo is a software engineer and a technical program manager. His passion is to create new products and services that solve people's unmet needs. He recently led 2 new edu-tech product developent projects in Sony R&D US from scratch, leading to a successful product launch and exiting to be accuired by a 3rd-party company. He has a combined experience of 15 years in software development, system design, and product management for both early-stage and well-established products.

Staff Research Engineer
  • Initiated a project and delivered an edu-tech product, Oppro, to help underserved youth connect with resources and social supports by leading research and design processes across educational institutions, achieving NPS of 40.
  • Developed and maintained a full-stack web app(React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS EC2/RDS/S3, Cloud API integrations) by leading a team of 5 engineers.
  • Managed 11-member cross-functional team and delivered the project end to end from concept creation to successful product launch.
  • Led an iOS app development(Swift) for another R&D project and successfully released it on App Store, achieving the review rating 4.8. The app was acquired by an Edu-tech company in 2022.
  • Achieved 2nd Place in Global Hackathon 2020 for the Greater Good, featured by DocuSign.
